    No More Perfect Seasons

    It's a done deal.

The Buffalo Sabres finished off the Minnesota Wild last night in a shocker of a game, putting the first loss in the standings for the Wild. It was inconceivable after Ryan Miller scored on himself in the first few minutes of the 3rd period to make it a 3-1 Wild lead. For the second game in a row, and third time this season, the Sabres came back from a two-goal deficit to take a win. The first instance occurred against the Rangers, which ended their undefeated stretch, the Bruins after that, and now the Wild, ending yet another undefeated start. Thomas Vanek, a name becoming synonymous with goal scoring these days, scored the game tying goal to force overtime. Derek Roy became the hero, pushing one past Backstrom in the opening minutes of overtime.

A game that looked dominated by the Wild from start through to the last five minutes of the third, a shocking upset went down in stylish fashion. Only three teams remain without a loss in regulation; Buffalo Sabres, Montreal Canadiens, and the Minnesota Wild. The Habs and Wild both suffering an overtime/shootout loss to the Sabres. Will this run continue? We will have to wait and see as this young season progresses.

    In other news...too much happening.
